We won the 4A State Championship in Louisiana. We finished #30 in Collegiate Baseball. Record 31-8 Our team BA was .374 Our team ERA was 1.83 We had 5 players hit over .400 Two pitchers drafted - 10th and 17th rounds We used both the hitting and pitching programs.

I'm a coach for the Ewing Edge Johnson girls fastpitch team in Ewing, NJ, the 2006 ASA 16U NJ State runner up. We really like the progress we’ve made with our hitting and most recently we took our travel team based in central NJ to Ft. Lauderdale for the 2007 Winter Rising Stars College showcase.  Despite facing 18U teams with older players, our team came away with a 4 – 2 game record but more impressive was a 0.489 %BA.  Part of that success came from using the CV300 for the last 2 years.  Even some of our newer players came back with dramatic improvements in their hitting performance.  The attached picture is one of our girls, the long red line a 7 ft that I’ve extrapolated to the middle of the plate and measures to 402 pixels.  The ball came off the bat and moved 86 pixels or 1.50 feet in a 1/60th of a second.  Not to bore you with the math, but I calculate it to 61 MPH for the batted exit speed.  It’s just an estimate but not too far off. 
Other uses:
 -  Catcher’s throwdowns- With the time reference of each clip, we can time the pop of the catch to the release of the throw.  The same type of distance measuring can give us a thrown ball velocity. 
 -  Baserunning – In fastpitch, base runners cannot release off the base.  While filming, we can check if our base runners release on time.  Mostly our baserunners tend to release far too late. 
 -  Running mechanics – We’ve done this both on a treadmill and on the field, fine tuning arm action, stride and foot landing mechanics. 
 - fielding work – backhand/forehand glove mechanics, foot work and crow hops with our outfielders. 
Basically with a little imagination, you can have a really complete analysis of any player.

 I just don't know what to say about your software. It is everything and that much more. It seems like everyday I turn it on I find something new. All the instructions are within the software under the instruction tab. It is so user friendly.
 
  I have come up with a system that is quite effective. I tape the player at the beginning of the lesson. I then ask what do you like about what they see. Then I ask what do you see that we can work on. Then I bring them up next to a pro, make the necessary changes.
 
  After we make the changes and the player has corrected themselves, I bring the footage up when they first started and bring the new footage up at the end of the lesson. The player can see them selves doing it the wrong way and the right way, side by side. They see instant results. It is earth shattering. Parents and players thank me 2.3 and sometimes 4 times.

“We found RightView Pro about a year ago; Jen was away at school at the time. We were really excited by what we were finding out about hitting. I got to tell Jen about what was going on and she was very interested, but the bad news was she had a stress fracture in her back. Well, to make a long story short, Jen could not swing a bat until last October, but as soon as she started hitting, she saw a difference.  As of 3/19/05, about 1/3 of her season, she had 10 HR, around 30 RBIs and a .360 BA. Numbers and stats do not lie.  They tell a story. And my numbers this season at Evangel are living proof of what RVP has done. Last season we set a record for team home runs with 23 without RVP, and I thought that was a pretty good number. But this year, with RVP, how about 58 HR's?  How about 97 doubles and 14 triples? How about a team slugging percentage of 491?  How about three of our hitters with double figures in home runs...16, 15, 11?  How about six grand slams? One player only had one home run in three years.... but this year, she hit 11. 

Several things I like with RVP and why I will stay with it and will absolutely not change:

* Common language (preparation, negative, positive, toe touch, heel plant, etc)
* Absolutes (plane of the ball, plane of the bat, the force of the swing, eliminating the squash the bug)
* Linear movements
* Swing extensions
* Rotations
* Rhythm and Timing.
* Basically, we now have a common thinking about hitting…and that’s a simple solution in my book!
