Registering
My program will not let me register even though I am connected to the Internet. Can I still register it on my own?
Yes. Simply go to the registration link on our web site if you are unable to do it on your own or if it is after our regular business hours. Look in “My Documents” to find the regFile.txt and upload it to generate an activation code.
Why do I need to register?
The Serial number on the CD and the back of the jewel case pamphlet is your Authentication code to permanently activate your software on that machine to register your software. Once you register, you will no longer be prompted with the Register window again. If you don't have a serial code or you would like to register the product on more computers, one can be purchased by calling 310-377-9221.
I am connected to the Internet but I'm not able to get registered.
If you are having trouble registering over the Internet, make sure your Anti Virus software or Firewall is not prohibiting the submission of the registration of the information. You may also go to www.rightviewpro.com/support to register your product.
I am not connected to the Internet; how do I register my product(s)?
-Go to register/activate and select begin registry
-fill out required information and hit next
-select the option that you do not have access to email;
-it will send you back to the information page and will have included a machine code at the bottom
-from another computer, email us your name, machine code and your serial number to activate to support@rightviewpro.com
(Every product has a different machine code even if they are on the same computer).

Troubleshooting
How do I set the appropriate computer settings to run at full screen?
Right click on your desktop, steering away from any icons, and then left click “Properties.” Select the “settings” tab at top and make the selections as follows:
800 x 600 screen resolution (for full screen)
16-bit color
Set DPI setting to Normal (96 DPI) found under display settings (advanced)
My Buttons are not showing up on the bottom of the Introduction Screen.
This is caused by a large dpi setting on your computer and may be adjusted as follows: Right click on your desktop away steering away from any icons. Left click “Properties.” Select the “Settings” tab at top. At the bottom of the settings menu, click “Advanced.” Go to the “General” tab and set the DPI setting to Normal size (96 dpi). Then click “Apply.” You may have to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
I got an error message; what should I do?
If you should receive any error messages, call or email our office for further instructions. We will need the exact error message and details of what you were attempting to do at the time you received it.
I installed my extra models and there is no icon.
There will be no icon for the Pm300, NPF Pm300 or NPF Hm300 since they are additional models being added to an existing analysis system. These are not stand-alone products.
My program freezes when trying to capture.
When naming students/swings do not use slashes, commas or other punctuation that Windows does not allow.
I have a Filter on my computer
This is caused by another program on your computer that is preventing our system from using the correct video codec. To correct the problem we need to reset the merit of the conflicting codec. If you feel comfortable you can follow the directions below or you can call our support line @ 310-377-9221.
Directions: There are three known conflicts: Pinnacle, Lead Tools, and Pic Video. Most of the time the error message will tell you the conflicting codec. If it does not please call the support line.
1.) Left Click "Start" and go to "All programs" then go to "Smartview Home" and left click on "Compression Utilities" Then click button that says "Block decompressors from interfering with playback"
2. On the right hand side at the top find the conflicting Codec "LEAD MCMP/MJPEG Decoder,00800000,00200000 ,“PicVideo M-JPEG 3 DirectShow Decompressor,00800000,00200000, or Pinnacle DCxx MJPEG Decompressor highlight by left clicking and then click the button called "set Merit" Then close window and reboot your system.
3. After rebooting, the swings or motions should all play.
4. If you have a few swings that will not play in your two view format follow the directions below to reformat those swings using the correct codec. We need to delete Swings that were converted by wrong codec. (Usually Lead or Pinnacle codecs) To delete the swings that will not play back. Go to C:/Program files/Common Files/SmartView Software/ Playerdata/(Front and Target) delete the swings that will not play back. ( do not delete the swings in the front360 or the target360 folders)Then open Cv300 or Pv300 and go to Two View and drag and drop the swings and let them convert using Morgan Multimedia codec.
My screen flips upside down; how do I fix it?
Hold down Ctrl + Alt. and hit the up or down arrow key and it should flip the screen back over. If that doesn't work, right click on the screen, selct rotation and select 180 degrees. To avoid this problem (which mostly will happen on Dell computers) you can manully change your settings by right clicking on an empty spot on your desktop; go to properties; select the settings tab; change your screen resolution to 800 by 600 (less) and color quality to medium 16 bit; click on advanced and make sure that it is at Normal size 96 DPI.

All the RVP products can be registered only twice. Once your trial period has expired, you will need to register the product to receive permanent license. Make sure you only register it to the computer you will want keep it on. If you choose to use both registrations, have to uninstall it and put it on another, or if your computer crashes and you have to reload it; there will be a $65 charge to do so. It is highly recommended that once you register your products you create a restore point on your computer or use an outside program to physically back up all the files on your computer. (Example: Norton Ghost)

You have 30 days from time of purchase to return the product if you are not satisfied.
Is RVP compatible with Windows Vista?
The Instruction Series (Ip300-AS, Ip300-SB, Ip300-FP)will run on Vista but the Analysis Series and Add on's will not. We are working on a new build of the program to run on Vista but as of 4/17/08 we are still about 6 weeks away.
